Baby Names

by powerangers_08@yahoo.com

This time I'd like to entertain you guys with something I found in the net. Well, to be more specific, it's from the fanfiction.net website. This is a fan fiction based on the Harry Potter story. The pairing is of Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass. Those who doesn't know who she is, you can refer to the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. She is actually the woman whom Draco marry after a few years of the final battle.

By the way I'm sorry for not coming up with something of my own. Well, with the report due coming, I can hardly concentrate with anything else can I? Eheh... Sorry, yeah?

And I enjoy this fan fiction very much. It's warm, funny and it reveals a side of Draco anyone had never seen before. I hope you enjoy it as well. Even when you're not a HP fan, do read. It really is great.

Here goes!!

___________________________________________________________________________

“What about Giauzar?”

“No.” Draco can’t help but snort. “Even I’m not that cruel!”

“Pollux?”

“That’s even worse than Giauzar, Tori!”

Astoria glances at her husband.

“Says you who suggested Sulafat.”

“Well, at least it was better than Betelgeuse.”

The glance turns into a glare.

“I’m going to ignore that comment.”

A smirk.

“You do that.”

“…”

“…”

“What about Sirius?”

“Can’t.”

“Why ever not?”

“Potter already used it on his kid; James Sirius, remember?”

“…”

“…”

“Oh.”

“Yes, oh.”

A page is turned.

“How about Atlas?”

A furrow of the eyebrows.

“As in the ‘this is the map’ type of Atlas?”

A roll of the eyes.

“No, as in the ‘he who dares suffers’ type of Atlas.”

“Oh.”

“Yes, oh.”

“…”

“So, what do you think of it?”

“Don’t like it. All I can think of is a globe.”

“Well, maybe one day, he’ll conquer the world then.”

“…”

“…”

“…”

“I shouldn’t have said that…”

“No you shouldn’t have. It brings back bad memories.”

“…”

“…”

“Sorry.”

A quick kiss on the cheek.

“I know you are.”

“So Atlas is out of the question then?”

“Yes, it is.”

“…”

“…”

“How about Leo?”

“No.”

“Why ever not?”

“It means Lion.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing!”

“It is a bad thing.”

“It’s a nice name though, and I like it! Plus, it ties in nicely with your family tradition; it’s the

name of a star constellation, but still looks remotely normal.”

“It’s also a name that is synonymous with Gryffindor.”

“…”

“…”

A snort.

“No it isn’t.”

“Yes it is!”

“No it’s not!”

“Yes it is. Leo means lion, and a lion is the symbol of Gryffindor house. They’re one in the same.”

“…”

“…”

“Fine, you suggest a name.”

“Okay. How about Draco Junior?”

“We are not naming our child after you if the baby’s a boy.”

“Why ever not?”

“Knowing my luck, if we name him after you, I’ll have double the trouble I already have on my hands. Like father like son, remember?”

Draco folds his arms, glares at his wife, and pouts.

“I resent that comment.”

“You were meant to.”

Draco glares again, whilst Astoria grins.

“If it wasn’t for the fact that I loved you, Tori, I would’ve have kicked you out ages ago.”

Astoria lets out a bubble of laughter.

“That’s an empty threat, Draco. Both you and I know that.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yes, really.”

She gives him a knowing looking, and he scowls.

“Damn.”

“…”

“…”

“What about Phoenix?”

Silence prevails as Draco thinks it over.

“I prefer it for a girl,”

Astoria nods her head in agreement.

“So do I, to be honest.”

“…”

“What do you think of the name Phoenix Lyra Malfoy if it’s a girl?”

“…”

“…”

“I like it a lot actually.”

Astoria smiles.

“Good,” she says slowly caressing her rounded stomach, “because so do I.”

“Does that mean the girl’s name is sorted then?”

A grin.

“I think it does.”

“We still need a boy’s name though.”

“Yeah, we do.”

“Any ideas?”

“Not really. You?”

Draco grins.

“What do you think of the name Scorpius?”

“…”

A groan.

“You don’t like it, do you?”

“I’ve heard worse.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’m not saying I like it, but nor do I hate it either.”

“So it’s a maybe then?”

“What middle name where you thinking of putting with it?”

“I quite like the sound of Scorpius Hyperion, myself.” He drawls.

Astoria looks at her husband, examines his face, and gives him a small smile.

“You’ve been planning this name for some time haven’t you?”

Draco rubs his stubbly chin, and takes on a sheepish look.

“I – er – might have been.”

“How long have you been thinking of naming our child this, Draco?”

“For a while now…”

Astoria gives him a pointed look.

“How long is for a while, Dray?”

“…”

“…”

A hand is run through blond hair.

“Er…”

“Oh come on Draco, it can’t be that hard to answer me. How long have you been thinking of this name?”

“Promise you won’t laugh?”

“I promise,” Astoria solemnly swears.

A deep breath in. A deep breath out.

“I’ve wanted to name my son Scorpius Hyperion ever since I was six years old.”

Astoria’s mouth drops open.

“…”

“…”

“…”

Suddenly, much to Draco’s surprise, Astoria has pulled him forward and has started to pepper his face with kisses. Draco can only sit there numbly, still in shock at his wife’s reaction.

Finally Astoria pulls away, and she beams up at him.

“How can I possibly turn Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy down now?”

She had always known that Draco Malfoy was a big softy.

Should

by powerangers_08@yahoo.com

Walking by the pathway

Of the T.A.R road

Mine peers ahead

Getting their money lessen

The momentum of middle daylight

That must be it

Well

It’s me

I can’t help to ponder

Me and you

It should be us

Walking here

Shopping linens

Devouring tastes

I miss your voice

And

Then before

By the monorail

It should be you

Holding my hand

Lead me by

Through the passersby

I miss your fingers

And

Times Square was then

It should be us

Watching movies

Wandering aimless

Crossing roads

I miss your caress

And

Lunch was next

Hunger never took its tool

But your memories

Blinded my sight, dulled my senses

It should be us

Ate there at Pavvy

It was raining

Like my eyes

I miss your stare

And

Lively KLCC

People as far as eyes can see

It should be we

Holding hands here

Walking by the park here

It would feel like forever

I miss your face

And

Restless Pudu

Stifle hot by the bus

It should be you

Being with me

I was alone

Your memories are my company

We embraced here

We said goodbye here

I miss you

But

Mine peers ahead

By the T.A.R pathway

Getting their money lessen

Their backs on me

Until

The momentum of middle daylight

Made the thoughts of you haunt me

Made immortal of your memories

No

Never again

Never again

Well, I don't think you could call this poem. It's more of a story, if you get what I mean.

*cringes*

I'm so sorry it sucks...

X(

That's that I guess!

Before and After

by farah_prong@yahoo.com.my

hye....
I love reading. You all might already know that. However, although the Stephanie Meyer fever had started out months before this, I never really caught it. I don't know why but at first, when I read her books, I was like;

'Oh...Okay.Her books arenot that bad. Boring but okay.'

I never really READ the books. I merely skimmed the words and most of the words usually lulled me to sleep. No offense. I was never into that books before. Then, starting from last two weeks ago, I started to read them and this is my thought;

'What? What happened next?'

and I was having books-marathon. I couldn't put that books until I finished reading all four and it took me three days without sleeping and 4 more days to finally read them all. It usually takes me a day to finish one good book but I got too intense and reading carefully and absorb all the feelings in the books that it took me a week to finish reading.

In the 'New Moon', I was sobbing and crying along with Bella's pain. The sadness just engulfed me, making me almost numb. All the time I was reading 'New Moon' my heart just ache, her feeling was so real, it tore my heart to pieces. So I was like,

'Wow. How could she survived?'

And after putting that book down, I dashed for the next book beacuse I NEED to know what will happen next. Phew!

I guess I never really wanted to read Stephanie because I figure that I was like a betrayal to JR Ward and her books. For those who didn't know, JR Ward is like a legend in vampire books. Her books was of course, very mature but loving. Thus I knew that somehow, Stephanie might capture my heart with her writings and thus, I try to avoid temptation. But I guess that I failed. I read the books and was swept from my feet. I am head over heels with this book and you know what, I might like the film. Hahaha...

Oh yes, I didn't watch the film as actually, I didn't want to admit that Robert Pattinson looks cool and vampire-like in that movie. Heck! I love him. There. I admit it already.

So, thanks Stephanie for your wonderful books.

Okay then.
See you when we'll see you.
